I know what I see when I go to the Harley dealer. Happy people, a clean and organized environment. The merchandise is varied....tshirts, jeans, helmets, boots, jackets, kids, adults, equipment, bikes, service area, even coffee on the shelf. Higher end of price tag which makes it harder for the average Joe to shop often.
A different store in another town we have visited, she greets everyone with a hi and smile (name if she knows it, just like at the HD dealer). The store has a smaller inventory but a nice one, if they don't have it, they will order it. They have a wall for military deployed from the area that I think is a very nice touch. Middle end price tag which makes it easier for the average Joe to shop more often.
These are the qualities I like and will continue to go to each place.
